The Odd Chair Company was established over 40 years ago by Sue Cook and today is run by her daughter and son, Victoria and James, who pride themselves on creating the finest upholstered furniture. The Company is renowned for their exquisite upholstery and its tailored finishing to each of their pieces, attention to detail and craftsmanship akin to a Saville Row suit. Offering over 300 designs, the company handmakes sofas, chairs, benches and stools as well as beds and furniture. New for this year is their handmade collection of mattresses which complement their range of fully upholstered beds. Working with traditional materials such as hair, wool and coir, and incorporating up to 4000 spring count with hand tufting, the company offers 8 standard mattress sizes as well as bespoke sizes for client’s own beds.

The company offers a full bespoke design and make service so whether you have an idea already or would like them to develop your idea to a design, anything is possible. The company also specialises in replicating fine antique upholstery by hand making a chair or sofa from an original design to make an identical pair or a set.
All furniture is manufactured at the workshops based at the head office, which also houses the timber workshop and fabric library.
