Bennison Fabrics

Bennison Fabrics

Bennison is an English company specializing in hand-printed fabrics based on 18th and 19th Century English and French textiles, originally discovered and reproduced by the late, renowned antique dealer and decorator, Geoffrey Bennison.  Our collection of traditional florals, Indiennes and designs with a more contemporary feel, has grown steadily over the past thirty years always showing the harmonious balance of colour, tone and scale that Geoffrey would have liked.

Our designs are printed in small batches on linens and silks woven and dyed exclusively for us. We also have a large showroom in the Fine Arts Building in New York and agents in the major cities of the US.

To find out more about the company’s namesake, the book written by his erstwhile assistant and Director of Bennison Fabrics, Gillian Newberry,  is available to buy from our shop in Holbein Place.  “Geoffrey Bennison Master Decorator” is published by Rizzoli.

This small pocket of Belgravia - just a few minutes walk from Sloane Square - is home to some of the finest antiques shops and galleries in London. There is a vast array of choice; endless variety that satisfies every appetite from the expert eye to the simply inquisitive looking for something special.
