Newsletter – November

Despite the fog and the rain we have had a very pleasant Autumn, but now the nights are drawing in and the lights are cheering up our streets as we edge towards Winter and the joy of Christmas festivities.
Not to forget our friends across the pond, November brings Thanks Giving. So for all our American clients we wish you a most enjoyable holiday.

Any minute now the Pimlico Road and the converging streets will be bedecked with Christmas lights and wonderful illuminated Christmas trees on all the lamp posts. The large plane trees on Orange Square will sparkle with suspended lights and The Pimlico Road will enter into the spirit of Christmas.

This all leads up to the fun of The Belgravia Christmas Weekend taking place on the 5th and 6th of December. The Pimlico Road event takes place on the Saturday from 10am to 4pm.Elizabeth Street on the Sunday.

Our wonderful Farmers Market will be getting an extension for one day only to 3pm so do come and place your Christmas orders. We will have musicians, a juggler and a balloon artist to entertain children of all ages. Apart from all the delicious food in the market we will be giving out hot chestnuts, and the various eateries in the area will be serving special Christmas fare. All the shops and galleries will be participating with new products and special gifts appropriate to the season.

There are always delightful Christmas windows to tempt you in. Lovely Christmas decorations can be bought from Daylesford, Linley, Nicholas Haslam and Joanna Wood. Perfect smaller gifts from amongst others The Biggest Blanket Company, FBC London, Talisman, Gordon Watson and Potterton Books in Lower Sloane Street.

Linley in conjunction with House and Garden Magazine are holding an evening of wine tasting and late night shopping. Tickets are £45 and can be purchased through House and Garden, see the December magazine for details. Do make every effort to be part of the festive celebrations. Come and join us.

We will soon have a dedicated page for the on-going discussion of the Newsons Yard/Travis Perkins development and the affect this will have on the existing Pimlico Road shops. Keep an eye on the website for further updates.

All our members wish all our clients, old and new, a most enjoyable run up to the delights of Christmas and the New Year.

Enjoy yourselves.

Regards and best wishes.

Mark Boyce.
