  • Christmas Newsletter

To those of you who managed to make it to the two Belgravia Christmas Weekend events, thank you. We hope you enjoyed your selves as much as we did. Thank heavens the rain held off on the Saturday for our event and despite the rather ferocious winds all went well. The Farmers Market were all grateful for the extra business and we thank them for staying on that little bit longer despite the long journey home some of them had to make. Elizabeth Street, on the Sunday also had a very successful day.

The Christmas lights will sadly come down in early January but we hope they added a little sparkle and pleasure to the winter nights , at least from the 21st of December days will start to grow longer.

We thank you for your custom, your support and your continued interest in this unique and wonderful part of London. We are all extremely lucky to work in such a delightful location. We can only wish it will remain so for many years to come.

Many of the shops, though not all, will be closed from Christmas until the New Year. Our wonderful business owners, managers, assistants, interior designers, secretaries, accountants, waiters, barmen, restorers, seem stresses, cooks, bottle washers, gilders, carvers, furniture makers, textile designers, product designers, jewellers and many more all need time off to be with their friends and families at this festive time of year. May they return refreshed and inspired to create yet more wonderful things for you and cater for your every wish and whim when they return in 2016.

To those who are suffering in conflict zones around the world may peace and security return to your blighted countries. We are only too aware of our own good fortune.

May we in the Pimlico Road and the surrounding streets wish you a most enjoyable Christmas and above all a very happy, healthy and bountiful New Year.

Finally, please accept my regards and best wishes for 2016.

    Mark Boyce.

  • Geoffrey Rose, 8th March 1923 – 28th November 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geoffrey Rose on the 28th of November 2015. Born in 1923 he eventually set up his Antique’s business in the Pimlico Road in the early 1960’s at 77 Pimlico Road. He continued to trade here for nearly 40 years before retiring to his home in Hampstead.

His classic taste for 18th century English furniture was lightened by the occasional continental item and unusual objects from Europe and the far east.

The funeral will take place at the Parish Church of St John-at-Hampstead, Church Row, NW3 6UU on Wednesday 16th December at 3pm. Our sympathies are sent to his three sons, Martin, Arnold and David.
