The shop incorporates two businesses running along side each other - Christopher Howe Antiques and HOWE.
Christopher Howe
An interesting mix of 18th and 19th century English, Irish and European furniture alongside great 20th century design. The focus is on good design rather than a particular period. Much of the stock, including a good selection of antique lighting, can be viewed at the shop, or on appointment, an even wider range can be seen at the warehouse nearby.
HOWEŽ
HOWEŽ is a range of bespoke furniture and lighting traditionally handmade in England. The chairs, benches and tables are carved and polished using traditional methods and the chairs, stools and sofas are traditionally upholstered with hand stitched horsehair seats and down-filled cushions. HOWEŽ also offers an exceptional range of interior and exterior lighting. The lanterns are individually handmade and painted in England and can be made for interior or exterior use, either with candle fitting or electrified if required (to UK, European or US standard). There is also a classic collection of table lamps, hurricane lamps and candlesticks in oak, ebony, silver plate, brass and bronze finishes. An unusual range of manufactured marine and industrial lighting is also available.
There is also a growing range of manufactured contract furniture, which includes chairs, sofas and lighting. HOWEŽ furniture and lighting is available to order and lead-time is approximately 12 weeks from receipt of a 50% deposit. |
